Data Security

Data Security is a priority at Saint Vincent College.  We are committed to protecting the security and confidentiality of our student's, faculty's, and staff's personal information.

Please not that we will never ask you for your password or any other personal information (Social Security number, etc.) if you have not initiated the request.

Phishing is a type of online fraud where you are tricked into providing your personal information through your computer.  By posting as individuals or organizations you know, trust and maybe have relationships with, "phishers" seek to obtain your passwords, social security numbers, and other information so they can use them fraudulently.  Please be aware of emails you receive that may have come from "phishers".  You should never reply to these emails!

Tips to identify phishing emails:

1.  Generic salutation

2.  Urgent call to action

3.  Strange wording and/or misspellings
