Career Services at Saint Vincent College has teamed up with The Princeton Review, a provider of one of America’s leading SAT preparation programs to offer a summer prep course. Classes will begin on Saturday, June 17 and end on Thursday, July 27. This course, designed for rising high school juniors or seniors, will prepare students for the October 2006 SAT and PSAT. The course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction in math, critical reading and essay writing. The fee for the six-week course is $995 and includes all manuals, access to an online student center and computerized scoring of three full-length practice tests. Students who take the course are guaranteed to raise their scores by at least 200 points across all three sections. If not, and all requirements are met, a refresher course may be taken the following year free of charge. The SAT is used by U.S. colleges to determine admissions and to award scholarships and grants. The test is 3 hours and 34 minutes long with a maximum score of 2400 for the three sections. Classes will meet on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Room 21, Alfred Hall. For more information or to enroll in the course, call The Princeton Review of Pittsburgh at 412-687-4880.
