Using dual meet scoring, the Bearcats posted a 5-2 record in the Duquesne Duals, held at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. The Bearcats defeated Carnegie Mellon, Niagara, Canisius, Wheeling Jesuit and St. Bonaventure, losing only to Division I schools Duquesne and Pitt. A total of 87 runners competed. The Bearcat top seven were: Adam Smith (9th overall, 26:42), Wayne Hooper (12th, 26:56), Jim Walsh (28th, 27:57), Alex Krupey (36th, 28:15), Shane Simmons (37th, 28:18), Josh Meny (45th, 28:43) and Rodney Young (47th, 28:47).

The Bearcat harriers competed in the National Catholic Cross Country
Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame, taking 11th place overall
and 3rd place in the small college division.
For the men, junior Adam
Smith led the Bearcats, crossing the finish line 27th out of 266 runners with a
time of 26:09. Senior Wayne Hooper took 32nd overall with a time of 26:09,
senior Jim Walsh finished 78th in 27:27, and sophomore Shane Simmons crossed the
finish line in 27:52, good for 99th overall.
Out of 180 runners in the
small college division, Smith's time was good for fourth place, Hooper's
seventh, Walsh's 26th, and Simmons 39th.

Adam Smith and Wayne Hooper finished first and second overall, leading the Bearcats to a team victory in the Saint Vincent Invitational. Smith covered the five-mile distance in 26:42, followed by Hooper in 27:02. Two Bearcat runners earned individual titles, while Saint Vincent finished third as a team at the Dickinson College Invitational. Two races were run on the day, a 4K and an 8.1K, and Bearcat runners won each of them. Wayne Hooper started the day with the individual title in the short race, finishing in 12:25. Adam Smith finished first in the long race, crossing the finish line in 26:29.
Joining Hooper in the short race, Matt Hagg finished in 29th place with a time of 13:24, Nick Stelitano 74th in 13:43, Craig Anderton 83rd in 13:51, and Shane Anderton 88th with a 13:54. A total of 171 runners competed.
On the long course, Jim Walsh finished in 12th with a time of 27:23, Shane Simmons 30th in 28:23, Ed Moss 38th in 28:41, and Bill Fischer 41st with a time of 28:44. As a team, SVC finished 2nd of 21 on the long course and 9th of 21 on the short course. When the scores were combined, SVC earned third place honors overall.

Saint Vincent junior Adam Smith entered the school record books as the Bearcats finished in fourth place out of 23 teams at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. Smith finished in fifth place out of 230 runners with a time of 25:58 in the 8K (five mile) race. With this performance, Smith became only the fifth runner in Saint Vincent history to run under 26 minutes in an 8K race.
Wayne Hooper finished close behind Smith, crossing the finish line in 26:21, good for 14th overall. Jim Walsh was the third SVC finished, and 49th overall, with a time of 27:23. Ed Moss finished 81st with a time of 27:58, Matt Hagg 84th with a 28:02, Shane Simmons 87th in 28:07, and Bill Fischer 105th with a time of 28:43. Only the host school, Carnegie Mellon, and a pair of Division-I teams in Duquesne and George Washington, finished above the Bearcats in team standings.

Behind a first place finish by junior Adam Smith, the Bearcats finished first place as a team at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships held at SVC. Smith turned in a time of 26:20, 12 seconds faster than the second place finisher, Washington & Jefferson's Matthew Rudzki. SVC senior Wayne Hooper took third overall, finishing in a time of 26:53. Other top finishers for the Bearcats included Jim Walsh (6th overall, 27:38), Shane Simmons (11th overall, 28:16), Nick Stelitano (14th overall, 28:23), and Ed Moss (15th overall, 28:26). Smith, Hooper, Walsh, Simmons, and Stelitano all earned PAC Coaches' Honors- the equivalent of All-PAC for provisional NCAA schools- for finishing in the top-14. Rudzki was named the meet's MVP, while Grove City coach Sean Severson was named the PAC Coach of the Year. Saint Vincent senior Wayne Hooper took the individual title at the 2007 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships, while teammate Adam Smith came in second individually, leading the Bearcats to a fourth place finish as a team at the event held in Williamstown, Massachussets. Hooper finished first out of 265 runners, crossing the finish line in 26:13, while Smith was right on his heels, finishing the 8-kilometer race just three seconds later. All seven of SVC's runners finished in the top 100, as Jim Walsh took 30th with a time of 27:31, Shane Simmons 33rd (27:35), Ed Moss 73rd (28:22), Nick Stelitano 85th (28:22), and Bill Fischer 89th (28:49). Williams College, the host school, took the team title, followed by Kean, SUNY-Oneonta, and the Bearcats, who finished with a score of 135. A total of 37 schools competed.
