Being a consistant top runner for the Bearcats this year was Wayne Hooper's expectations and he fulfilled those expectations and then some with excellent showing through out the year.  Beating his previous personal best time from last year by almost a minute, Wayne helped the team capture 20th at the National Meet by placing 129th out of over 200 runners with a time 26:34.  He also was named 2nd team All Confrence this season.  At Altoona High School, he was a three-year letterwinner in both cross country and track, and was the District 6 champion in cross-country during both his junior and senior years.
