Improvement through out the season was the view point of Carl this past year. After being an alternate his freshman year for the National Championship Meet, Carl wasn't going to let that happen again his Sophmore year.  After placing 47th  at the confrence meet with a time of 28:13, he found himself in a lock to be one of the top 7 competing runners for this years National Championship meet in Louisville Kentucky. Carl managed to pull out a 220th place finish at Nationals this past year with a time of 27:38.  At United High School, he lettered twice and participated in the PIAA State Championship meet, running an 18:49
