4/23 - Grove City Invitational

Chris Zamias took first place overall with a 76, and the Bearcats won the six-team event at Grove City.

Zamias, a senior from Johnstown, shot 38-38 to win by one stroke.  The Bearcat team of Zamias, Doug Mehall (78), Steve Killa (79) and Adam Agin (81) won the McBride-Behringer-Allen Invitational with a team score of 314, a full 15 strokes lower than second place Medaille.  Grove City, Waynesburg, Slippery Rock and Pitt-Greensburg completed the field.

This is the second individual title for Zamias, who won a PAC event last season.

4/25 - PAC Championships

Four Bearcats earned Coaches Awards after finishing in the top 10 at the Presidents Athletic Conference Championships, held at Oak Tree Country Club.

Chris Zamias finished fourth overall in the field of 35 with rounds of 76-77.  All 36 holes were played in one day after rain forced a change of plans during day one.

Zamias was joined in the top 10 by teammates Doug Mehall (8-76), Adam Yingling (75-81) and Adam Agin (81-77).  Steve Killa (79-81) missed the top ten by just 2 strokes.

SVC's top four scores from each day totalled 621, which would have placed the team second behind Washington & Jefferson in the seven-team event.  However, SVC is ineligible for the PAC title due to the school's provisional status as first-year NCAA members.

The Coaches Awards are the equivalent of All-Conference awards for provisional school members.
