The picturesque Country Club of Meadville played host to some not-so-picturesque golf by the Bearcats who completed their Fall Season in Meadville, PA. The cool weather and slick greens produced a number of unforced errors. Team Captain Justin Shiner had trouble finding his game, and Lee Friedline played 17 good holes. Freshman hopeful Dereck Hohn gamed with a football injury, whereas Freshman golfer, Sam O'Donnell, played consistently from tee to green but struggled with the putter. The men completed a busy Fall Schedule with good comportment and promising style. We look forward to a strong show during our Spring Conference Season. | |||||

| Lee Friedline posted a an 86 for the Bearcats at Ligonier Country
Club. Freshman Sam O'Donnell fired an 87, while captain Justin Shiner
struggled to 91. Shiner, an accounting major, has been kept off the links
with end-of-the-month reporting. We look for his game to return to prime
time in the Spring. Jim Brandl--although posting a fine practice round of
82--shot 98 in the tournament. | |||||

| The Golfing Men Bearcats played shorthanded at the La Roche Fall
Invitational on September 30th. Wildwood Golf Club hosted the event. Freshman
Derek Hohn was low scorer with 88, finishing in the top-25 Individually.
Danny "Tosh" Bartosh improved his game by carding a 94, while Big Lee
Friedline struggled to 95. The Bearcats look to improve their scoring at
Ligonier Country Club, where Seton Hill serves as host on Monday, October 7.

The Golfing Men Bearcats finished fifteenth at the Fall Clarion University Invitational. Senior captain Justin Shiner again was low on the team with a 82-83. Freshman Derek Hohn made a fine debut with a 90-85. Lee Friedline fired 89-90, and Freshman Sam O'Donnell scored a 96-92. Transfer Jim Brandl also debuted in the event. The next men's tournament is at Wildwood Golf Club, hosted by La Roche College, September 30. | |||||

Ben Danely shot 88, Freshman Sam O'Donnell scored a 101, and Dan Bartosh had a 108. The next men's tournament is at Clarion University, September 23-24. | |||||
