The NAIA Bearcats faced D2 competition at Clarion. Unprepared for the 40 mph winds and heavy rain, the team posted a poor first day performance. On day 2, however, captain Lenny Mohan played a near flawless round, carding a 1-over 73 in windy (but dry) weather and tied for 2nd individually. Sophomore grinder, Brian Nickerson, played consistently both days, totalling 162.

The Men Bearcats finished 2nd of twelve teams at the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg 2003 Fall Challenge. Captain Lenny Mohan fired an 73 in strong winds to capture 3rd place individual honors. Freshman Tyler Francis carded a 74 to win 4th place honors. Freshman Brian Nickerson shot 76 to finish 8th of 60 participants. Freshman Chris Zamias shot 88.

Monday, Sept. 8		Seton Hill	A	Greensburg CC	9:00	1st
Both Bearcat Teams defeated Seton Hill at Greensburg Country Club on Monday, September 8, 2003. The "S" Team shot 315 vs. Seton Hill's 338. The "V" Team carded 355 vs. Seton Hill's 368. "S" TEAM: Freshman Tyler Francis of Bridgeport, WV was medalist with a fine round of 77 on 26 putts. Freshman Jason Jones (Irwin, PA) fired a steady 78, hitting nine fairways and ten greens. Freshman Brian Nickerson (Bridgeport, WV) shot a 79, despite putting trouble. Freshman Chris Zamias (Johnstown, PA) carded a 81 on 35 putts. "V" TEAM: Freshman Erik Doran (Greensburg) shot 87 on 31 putts. Freshmen Justin Epler (East Berlin) and Pat Auth (Bethel Park) shot 89s. Captain Lee Friedline carded an 90 with 34 putts.
