Angela Belli, director of the Saint Vincent College Environmental Education Center, was among those featured in a television production entitled, "Water: An Endangered Resource,” which was produced by the Penn State Public Broadcasting service on WPSU-TV statewide.

Alumna’s student wins poster competition

Prevention Projects collecting shoes for Youth Quest Rally 2006

Youth and young adults in Pennsylvania are vital in Stomping Out Big Tobacco. On April 25 and 26, youth from the 67 counties of Pennsylvania will gather in Harrisburg to promote awareness of the dangers of tobacco. As part of the Youth Quest 2006 Rally, 20,000 pairs of shoes collected throughout Pennsylvania will be placed on the steps of the Capitol. These shoes will represent the number of adults who die in Pennsylvania each year from tobacco-related illnesses. As a part of this campaign the Saint Vincent College Prevention Projects is asking for new or slightly used pairs of shoes (adult, teens, children, infants) which will be given to deserving citizens in counties throughout Pennsylvania after the Youth Quest 2006 Rally. Each pair should be placed in a tied plastic bag.

Students invited to create new slogan for Saint Vincent

A group of students from the Student Government Association, along with Dr. Tom Cline, associate professor of business administration and special assistant to the president for marketing, and the Marketing Matrix Club, are working together to find a new slogan for the College and are looking for student input. Students may take written suggestions to the SGA office or mail them to Box 162. The deadline for all submissions is Friday, March 17.

The annual Law Alumni Dinner, sponsored by the Pre-Law Club, will be held on Thursday, March 23 with a reception at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:15 p.m. Tom Corbett, Pennsylvania attorney general, will be the featured speaker.
