On April 25 and 26, youth from the 67 counties of Pennsylvania will gather in Harrisburg to promote awareness of the dangers of tobacco. As part of the Youth Quest 2006 Rally, 20,000 pairs of shoes collected throughout Pennsylvania will be placed on the steps of the Capitol. These shoes will represent the number of adults who die in Pennsylvania each year from tobacco-related illnesses. As a part of this campaign the Saint Vincent College Prevention Projects is asking for new or slightly used pairs of shoes (adult, teens, children, infants) which will be given to deserving citizens in counties throughout Pennsylvania after the Youth Quest 2006 Rally.
