Fr. Brian thanked the Senate for sponsoring Sports Friendship Day. There were over ninety participants and their families that came out for the day and 300 students that helped out in some way. Fr. Brian passed out T-shirts to the entire senate. Before leaving, Fr. Brian expressed his gratitude to SGA for their financial support for the past twenty-two years.

Minutes from the previous meeting were approved by Herzing, seconded by Astorino.

Public- Fisher, Rine, Wagner, Winters Treasurer – Mancuso asked the senate to review the statement of financial position.

Vice President’s Report – Hartbauer reminded the senate that the Dashboard concert is this weekend. She passed around a sign-up sheet for the concert. T-shirts can be picked up in Jason Wagner’s office Friday morning.

President’s Report – Stevens recently met with Caridi to address some issues. Heavy machinery for the resident hall construction is not supposed to be used before 8:00 AM. SVC Radio now has a new location in Rooney Hall and should remain there for the rest of the semester. There was a board meeting a few weeks ago that included a campus tour, which gave board members the opportunity to look at each of the residence halls. There will be a campus “Day of Caring” clean up day before graduation. This will take place on Friday, April 21 and will include students, faculty and administration to do some landscaping work around the campus grounds.

Committee Reports – Conway and Keeler met with Jane before spring break. Topics discussed include Shack cleanliness, take out boxes in the Shack, meal equivalency, addition of new products, more themed meals and promos, and a choice of ten standard subs in addition to featured subs in the Shack. It was commented that the cafeteria is closing early and often opens late. Conway will address this issue.

Issues from the floor – Students should be informed about the limited access gate for parking lot Q. There should be a title card for the pieces of art around campus to inform people of the specific artist and title of the piece. It was suggested to give more money for Sports Friendship Day next year to allow students to have dinner with their buddies.
