Dr. Kristin Harty, assistant professor of education, will be presenting at the International Reading Association's Annual Conference being held from April 30 to May 5th. Her presentation titled “Increasing the Opportunities for Authentic Teaching Experiences in Reading/Language Arts for Pre-service Teachers” is about work she has done at Saint Vincent College to expose students in the education program to elementary classrooms prior to pre-student teaching which aids them in connecting research to practice.
