Clubs and Organizations
Saint Vincent College is home to dozens of clubs and organizations. These groups provide even more networking opportunities. Those clubs and organizations of special interest to the McKenna School students are identified below.
- College Democrats Club
The College
Democrats goals include supporting and instilling the values of
political education and activism, voter registration, leadership, and
community
service to members of the club, students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We
want to
encourage the democratic spirit into people so that they can better
participate
and be a part of the democratic process in the United States and
Pennsylvania.
- College Republican Club
The College Republicans promote the principles of the
Republican Party among the
students at Saint Vincent College, while aiding in the election of
Republican
candidates at all levels of government. They also try to help develop
political
skills and leadership abilities among Republican students as preparation
for
future service by them to the party and the community.
- Delta
Mu Delta, Theta Tau Chapter
- National honor society for
outstanding students in Business Administration.
- Economics Club
- Finance Club
The
Finance Club exists to promote financial education at SVC, help manage
virtual and real portfolios, take field trips to areas of financial
prominence,
and other activities conducive to financial markets.
- Global
Experience Club
The Global Experience
Club was created to give students the opportunity to
travel to different countries during Spring Break for an “alternative
Spring
Break.” Every Spring Break, a group of SVC students completes a foreign
business
study tour. This unforgettable week abroad is the result of months of
research
and planning. Students are responsible for researching the chosen
country,
including history and culture, as well as planning the group itinerary.
- Institute of Management
Accountants
- Marketing Matrix
- A student chapter of the American Marketing Association.
- Mock Trial Team
The Mock Trial Team is a nationally
competitive student organization that engages in developing and delivering
logical arguments in a “mock” court of law. At the beginning of each school
year student members receive a court case prepared by the American Mock Trial
Association (AMTA). With assistance from a faculty advisor, students begin to
logically develop arguments for both the Plaintiff and Defense sides of the
case. The team competes against other colleges and universities from around the
country at highly competitive invitational tournaments held on various college
campuses throughout the United States, culminating with a Regional Tournament in
mid-February.
- Omicron Delta Epsilon

honor society for outstanding students in Economics.
- Pi Sigma Alpha

- Women in Business (WIB)
The Women in Business Club hopes to create an environment in the McKenna School
of Business, in which students can join together regarding professional
development. The organization works to confront the corporate world and personal
women’s issues and offers support for the recruitment and retention of students
and faculty to the McKenna School.
