The Bearcats finished second in the Fall 2009 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship.

Over the 36-hole, two-day tournament held at the Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, PA, the Bearcats finished with a team score of 622, behind only champion Thomas More College, which blistered the course with a team score of 593.

Jeff Varga led the Bearcats individually, carding a two-day cumulative score of 147 (73-74), good for third overall out of 40 participating golfers. Teammate Steve Fiori finished fifth with a 150 (74-76), while Doug Mehall took eighth (152/76-76) and Sean Devlin 27th (173/87-86).

Following Thomas More and Saint Vincent, Washington & Jefferson finished third (626), Grove City fourth (627), Westminster fifth (634), Waynesburg sixth (669), Thiel seventh (719), and Bethany eighth (758).

Tuesday is the second and final day of the fall PAC championship, with play set to begin at 8:30am.
