The Bearcats finished second in the 2-day, Invitational portion of the PAC Championship, and their 8-round season total was the best among 8 teams. 

While the team is technically ineligible for the PAC Championship as an NCAA provisional member, Saint Vincent had the lowest team total in the 8-round Championship, which covered the fall and spring semesters.   

SVC's 8-round team total was 2448, just five strokes ahead of Washington & Jefferson College.  Thomas More was a distant third, 95 strokes behind W&J.

For the two-day PAC meet at Oak Tree Country Club, SVC led after the first round with a 299, but ended up second after a team total of 302, just two strokes behind W&J.

Jeff Varga was third overall for the 2-day Invitational, shooting 75-73 (148).  Teammate Devin Gmitter was fourth, shooting 74-75 (149).

Individually, the PAC tallied individual scores as the best 6-of-8 rounds.  Gmitter finished third overall at 449, just two strokes behind the title winner, Brad Cieslinski of W&J.  Varga was fourth, at 450, while Matt Bronkar was fifth, at 450.  Other SVC golfers were Doug Mehall (10th, 461) and Adam Agin (18th, 482).  In all, 38 golfers competed.

Mehall, Gmitter, Varga and Bronkar (photo) were awarded PAC Coaches honors, the equivalent of all-conference awards for provisional members.
