Behind a one-under 71 from Doug Mehall, the Bearcats finished a close second at the 2008 Westminster Titan Invitational, held at the New Castle Country Club. With an even-par 36 on the front nine and a one-under 35 on the back, Mehall earned the individual championship. The Bearcats finished with a team score of 306, six shots behind team champion Carnegie Mellon. SVC's Jeff Varga took fifth place individually with a score of 75, while Matt Bronkar tied for seventh (77), Devin Gmitter 15th (83), and Ben Lenhart 22nd (84). A total of 59 golfers participated. Westminster took third place as a team, with a score of 321, followed by Slippery Rock (327), Grove City (328), Waynesburg (332), Penn State-Behrend (342), Edinboro (352), Bethany (355), Thiel (356), and Pitt-Greensburg (373).
