The Bearcats finished a solid seventh among 17 teams in the Indiana University of PA Invitational, the best among Division III teams competing. SVC shot 304-300 for a team total of 604. Concord University won the even with a team score of 577, followed by Clarion (584), IUP (585), Saint Francis (590), Millersville (591) and Cal U of PA (597). Allegheny College finished eighth, just one stroke behind Saint Vincent. Rounding out the tournament were West Chester, WV Wesleyan, Gannon, West Liberty State, Lake Erie College, West Virginia State, Mercyhurst, Seton Hill and Salem International. Individually, Steve Fiori led the Bearcats with a two-round total of 146 (76-70), good for eighth overall. His second round score put him in the top five for the day. Matt Bronkar finished in 24th (75-75), while Doug Mehall was 31st (75-77). Ben Lenhart shot identical rounds of 78, while Jason Hammel shot 86-93. Saint Vincent will host its own invitational on Thursday at Arnold Palmer's Latrobe Country Club.
