The Bearcats kicked off the fall season with a 10th place finish at the Guy Kuhn Invitational hosted by Allegheny College. Saint Vincent posted a two-day score of 606 in the tournament consisting of 19 teams, which was won by Indiana University (PA) with a cumulative score of 575. Jeff Varga led SVC and placed 13th overall with a two-day score of 147, firing a 70 on the final day of the event, good for the second lowest score posted. SVC's Doug Mehall finished in 32nd, with a score of 152 (76-76), while teammate Devin Gmitter tied for 41st (154; 82-72), Ben Lenhart 53rd (156; 77-79), and Matt Bronkar 66th (161; 85-76). IUP's Gavin Smith took the individual championship with a two-day score of 140, good for four-under par. A total of 98 golfers participated.
