The Saint Vincent Bearcat lacrosse community is mourning the loss of former standout player Evan Chateauneuf. Evan passed away unexpectedly on September 16 at the age of 24. A three-year starter for the Bearcats, the native of Boxborough, MA ended his career in 2008, posting 45 goals and 29 assists over his final three seasons in green and gold. "Evan was an extremely talented player," said Peter Tulk, who coached Chateauneuf during his tenure with the Bearcats. "He was well loved by his teammates. They elected him a team captain his senior year and he was a great player to be around." There will be a memorial held on campus on October 3, to coincide with the lacrosse team's annual Alumni Game.
