The Bearcats posted a 20-10 win over visiting Oberlin College on Senior Day at Chuck Noll Field. SVC went up 4-0 early and it appeared as though Oberlin was going to be unable to mount any offense. SVC led 5-1 at the end of the first quarter, but Oberlin outscored the hosts by a 4-3 margin in the second, making it 8-5 at the half. An Oberlin goal a little over 5 minutes into the third quarter made it 8-6, then the teams traded goals, making it 9-7. The Bearcats then scored four goals in a two-minute span to not only extend the lead to six, but also deflate the Oberlin attack as Saint Vincent pulled away to a 10-goal victory. Jarrid Johnson and Zach Wilfong each scored 5 goals on the day. Johnson added a pair of assists and Wilfong had one helper. Gavin Bates, playing in his final home game, had three goals and an assist. Luke Swerdlow, also in his last game at SVC, had a pair of goals and three assists. Other goals were tallied by Ryan Kearney (2), Jason Powell, Vinnie DiSantis and Jake Dick. Recording assists were Nick Aspiotes, Brendan Egan, Mike Fishman, Pat Finneran and Powell. Jon McMahon had five saves in the net, while Nick Kunz played the final 12 minutes and recorded 2 saves. SVC is now 5-7 on the year, while Oberlin drops to 1-9.
