Led by the duo of Will Delanoy and Zach Wilfong, the Bearcats picked up a 19-9 win under the lights at Oberlin College. Delanoy scored five goals and added four assists, while Wilfong tallied three goals and five assists, as the Bearcats outshot the Yeomen 61-35 en-route to the 10-goal win. A total of five Bearcats scored at least two goals, as Jake Dick and Pat Bursch found the net three times apiece and Neil Quinn twice. Oberlin scored the game's first goal, 50 seconds into the opening quarter, but the Bearcats then stormed back, scoring the next six goals, beginning with a Dick tally with 10:43 left. Wilfong had a hand in SVC's first five goals, assisting on the first four before putting the Bearcats up 5-1 with his first marker of the game, scored with 3:11 left in the first half. Eleven seconds later, Quinn's first goal of the night, assisted by Clark Williams, pushed the SVC lead to 6-1. After the Yeomen closed out the first stanza with a pair of quick goals, Kevin Vawter and Bursch scored in the second quarter for SVC, and the Bearcats entered the intermission ahead 8-4. SVC then blew the game wide open in the third quarter, outscoring the Yeomen 8-2, with three goals coming from Delanoy, to increase its lead to 16-6 heading into the final 15 minutes of play. The deficit was too large to overcome for Oberlin, as the Bearcats put it away with fourth quarter goals from Wilfong, Delanoy, and Quinn to ice the win. Jon McMahon played all 60 minutes in goal for SVC, and recorded nine saves for the win. Oberlin was led on the scoresheet by Alex Jacobs, who came off the bench to score three goals. John Weisburst started between the pipes for the Yeomen and took the loss, despite tallying 17 saves. With the win, the Bearcats improve their record to 4-6 on the year. They will return to action on Sunday afternoon (4-26), hosting Medaille College for a senior day contest at Chuck Noll Field.
