The Bearcat men defeated the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets by a score of 6-1 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup. Ben Fecik and Sean Molyneaux each scored twice for Saint Vincent (4-5-1). Fecik scored the game's first goal less than three minutes after the opening kickoff, assisted by Mark Mastriano. Thirteen minutes later, Fecik added his second, a header off a pass from Jason Zielinski. Zielinkski assisted on the game's next two goals as well, by Molyneaux and Zach Solis. SVC led 4-0 at the end of the first half. Dave Lauteri's first goal of the year, assisted by Mastriano, made it 5-0 with 31 minutes remaining. After Waynesburg's David Peters cut the margin to 5-1, Molyneaux added his second goal of the game, with help from Lauteri, to close out the scoring. Rob Scudder earned the win in the net for Saint Vincent.

Two overtimes weren't enough to decide a victory, as Saint Vincent tied host Waynesburb by a 3-3 score. Freshman
John Woodruff scored his first career goal on a 30-yarder, and was
joined in scoring by Ben Fecik, who scored off of a corner, and Shane
Molyneaux, with an assist from Matt Hanley.

A pair of first half goals, and a strong effort by keeper Greg Walsh, propelled the Bearcats to a 3-0 victory at home over Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Westminster.
SVC first found the scoreboard 13 minutes into the game, when sophomore David Lauteri scored off of an assist from Mark Mastriano.
Seven minutes later, Mastriano also set up the Bearcats' second goal of the afternoon, this time finding freshman Luis Rodriguez to put the Bearcats up 2-0.
Westminster had a number of scoring chances throughout the game, only to be thwarted each time by Walsh, who made a number of saves at point blank range.
"Without Walsh, we could have been down 3-2 before halftime," said Saint Vincent coach Keith Harmon. "He was terrific throughout, and he's been playing really well for us the past few games."
Jim Boland's first goal of the season closed out the scoring with just under 30 seconds remaining in the second half.

The Bearcats gave up three second half goals in their 4-1 defeat at the hands of visiting Grove City.
Grove City scored in the first ten minutes off of a free kick, but the Bearcats evened it up when Jason Zielinski knocked home a penalty kick before half time.
The second half, however, belonged to the Wolverines, who put the game away with three tallies.
Greg Walsh took the defeat in the net for SVC.

The Bearcat men defeated Thiel College on the road in Greenville, PA by a score of 3-0. Dave Lauteri scored twice, while Sean Molyneaux added the other Bearcat goal. Ben Fecik and Jason Zielinski assisted Lauteri on his first goal, while Matt Fecik was credited with the help on his second. Molyneaux's goal was unassisted, coming off a rebound. Rob Scudder started in the net, recording three saves. Brandon Bower played the first 24 minutes of the second half before leaving with an injury, with Scudder returning to finish the shutout.

Washington & Jefferson avenged an earlier double-overtime loss to the Bearcats, sending SVC to a 3-2 defeat...also in double-overtime. W&J's Brent Kennedy scored four minutes into the second overtime period to lift W&J to the victory. Jason Zielinski and Adam Karlovich scored for Saint Vincent (6-7-1). Greg Walsh took the loss in the net.

Dave Lauteri's goal in the 42nd minute off a corner kick from Adam Karlovich gave Saint Vincent a 1-0 victory on the road against Thomas More College. Greg Walsh recorded the shutout in the net for SVC, posting three saves. The victory was the first this year on the road for SVC (6-6-1 overall).

The Saint Vincent men dropped their season opener on the road in Greensburg against former conference rival Seton Hill University. The final score was 1-0. Clint Loughner tallied the game's only goal midway through the first half, and that would be all that SHU (1-1) would need. Brandon Bower, making his first start as a Bearcat, took the loss in goal. SVC was forced to play without two key starters, defender Jarrod Weaver and forward Dave Lauteri, who were out with injuries.

Bethany's lone goal, scored on a free-kick at the 17 minute mark in the first half, was all it needed to defeat the visiting Bearcats in a physical contest. The Bearcat defense performed well, allowing just six shots on goal, with goalie Rob Scudder making five saves. Offensively, however, SVC was only able to muster five shots on goal.

The Bearcats offense scored three first half goals, while goalie Greg Walsh recorded six saves, in SVC's 3-0 victory over Geneva.
Saint Vincent controlled the ball for the majority of the first half, and the Bearcats wasted no time finding the scoreboard, as freshman Ben Fecik scored 12 minutes into his contest.
Five minutes later, it was his twin brother Matt's turn, as the freshman defender scored the first goal of his collegiate career, knocking the ball past Geneva goalie Sam McCraken to put SVC up 2-0.
The Bearcats closed out the scoring with 16 minutes left in the first frame, as Ben Fecik scored his second tally of the afternoon, with the assist going to classmate Luis Rodriguez.
It was all Saint Vincent would need for the afternoon, as the Bearcat defense limited the Golden Tornadoes to just five shots on goal, and 11 shots total. Senior keeper Greg Walsh earned his first shutout on the season.

The Tiffin Dragons defeated the SVC men by a score of 6-0 on the road in Ohio. The Bearcats fell behind 2-0 at the end of the first half before yielding four second-half goals. On the day, SVC was outshot 20-4 by the Dragons. Tiffin's Tony Iyayi scored three times and added an assist. Rob Scudder took the loss in the net for SVC.

The Bearcat defense shut down a tough Walsh University team, winning 1-0 in a hard-fought contest. Jason Zielinski's header off a corner kick from Adam Karlovich with 16:36 remaining in the second half was the game's only score. The Saint Vincent defense, which had played well throughout the game, stepped up in the closing minutes to thwart several scoring opportunities by the Cavaliers and hold on for the victory on a rain-soaked field. Rob Scudder picked up his first career shutout in the net, recording 7 saves.

In a physical contest, the Bearcats battled visiting West Virginia Wesleyan to a 1-1 tie.
The game was played at a fast pace from the start. Both teams had a number of scoring chances in a scoreless first half, but SVC's Greg Walsh and WV Wesleyan's Andrew Baldasare were up to the task in the nets.
The scoreless trend continued until 41 minutes into the second half when SVC's Adam Karlovich scored with Mark Mastriano getting credit on the assist.
The 1-0 lead was short lived for Saint Vincent, however, as West Virginia Wesleyan defender Andrew Meikle scored on a direct free kick to tie the game a minute and a half later.
After a scoreless first overtime, the Bearcats seemed to be at an advantage in the second OT, as two WV Wesleyan players received red cards and were ejected with four minutes remaining. Saint Vincent couldn't capitalize, however, and the game ended knotted up at 1-1.

Westminster College defeated Saint Vincent by a score of 1-0 thanks to a last second goal at the end of the half. Rob Scudder played well in goal for SVC, but Westminster scored in the final seconds of the first half, providing enough to hold off the Bearcats.

The Bearcat men lost a close game with Davis & Elkins by a score of 1-0 on the road. Saint Vincent's defense played well, but the team was unable to generate any offense. Greg Walsh took the loss in goal.

The Saint Vincent Bearcats dropped a last-second decision to Salem International University by a score of 3-2.
Mile Dragisic's rebound goal off of a direct kick with 36 seconds left turned out to be the game winner for the Tigers.
The host Bearcats started slowly, and took a 1-0 deficit into halftime, being outshot 6-1 in the first frame.
Saint Vincent woke up in the second half, and had a number of scoring chances in the frame before Mark Mastriano tied it up for the Bearcats with 13:52 left.
Salem International tied it right back up a minute later off of a penalty kick, but the Bearcat stormed back and tied it up with 5:23 left when Bradd Picone knocked in a corner kick from Jason Zielinski.
The Bearcats had the momentum and the contest looked to be headed to overtime before Dragisic scored the game winner with under a minute remaining.

Ben Fecik's goal with 5:26 remaining in double-overtime lifted SVC to a 2-1 victory over Washington & Jefferson in the school's Presidents' Athletic Conference opener. Fecik, a freshman, opened the scoring with his first collegiate goal, tallied midway through the first half. Senior Bradd Picone sent a header right to the foot of Fecik, who drilled a shot into the lowel left corner of the net past W&J keeper Tyler Hodgins. After trailing 1-0 at the half, however, W&J came out strong and dominated play throughout much of the second half. With 11 minutes remaining in regulation, Mitchell Riehle took a pass from Billy Winters and tied the game. It would stay that way through the remainder of the first half and the entire first 10-minute overtime period. In the second overtime, a spirited Bearcat team created opportunities, getting three corner kick opportunities in a 4 1/2 minute span. On the last of those chances, junior Adam Karlovich crossed the ball into the box, where Fecik headed it home for the winning goal.

The Bearcats opened their home portion of the 2006 season in a big way- shutting out the University of Pitt-Greensburg 5-0 to earn their first victory of the season.
Luis Rodriguez got the hosts on the board midway through the first half, scoring the first goal of his career with assists going to Adam Karlovich and Ben Fecik. Sophomore Brandon Bower kept Pitt-Greensburg off of the board in the first half, and SVC took a 1-0 advantage into the half.
Rodriguez opened the scoring up in the second half, as well, and was assisted by Fecik and Jason Zielinski.
Shorly afterward, junior Mark Mastriano sent a header into the back of the net off of a cross from Zachary Solis.
Junior Jason Zielinski put the Bearcats up 4-0 with a penalty kick, and classmate Sean Molyneaux scored the first goal of his career as time winded down off of another assist from Zielinski.
Rob Scudder played the entire second half, holding the Bobcats scoreless and preserving the shut out.
