Two overtimes weren't enough to decide a winner, as the Bearcats battled visiting Frostburg State to a 1-1 tie on a rain-slicked field.

In the first half, Frostburg looked poised a number of times to score the game's first goal, as the Bobcats posted a 6-2 advantage in shots and a 2-0 margin in corner kicks, but Saint Vincent goalie Jacob Gilbertson kept the game scoreless with four saves over the first 45 minutes.

The Bearcats then went on the attack to begin the second half, out-shooting Frostburg 9-1 over the first 20 minutes of the second frame, but were unable to solve Bobcat goalie Jack Abiye.

Following an offsides whistle on the Bearcats in the game's 80th minute, Frostburg mounted an offensive attack.  A long-range blast by the Bobcats' Dillon Muise was blocked by the Bearcat defense, but the long rebound round its way to the foot of Steven Jacobson, who buried it past Gilbertson from less than 10 feet out to give Frostburg the 1-0 advantage with just over seven minutes remaining in regulation.

Saint Vincent then quickly regrouped, pressing on their next possession to gain a corner kick.  It found its way to the head of Bearcat Ben Skvarca, but was blocked.  The Bobcats were then whistled for a quick foul, resulting in an indirect kick for Saint Vincent.

Anthony Balistreri took the kick, lofting it deep into the goal box.  Ben Fecik was able to leap and get his head on it, directing it into the net to tie the game at 1-1 with 5:49 remaining in regulation.

The Bearcats continued on the attack following the goal, with Luis Rodriguez and Drake Pastor both getting quality shots over the final two minutes, but they were each saved by Abiye, sending the game into overtime.

There were a number of scoring chances throughout the first extra session for each team, but both goalies remained strong, as Abiye and Gilbertson each making two saves apiece, including a diving stop by Gilbertson with just eight seconds left that sent the game into a second overtime.

The majority of the second overtime session was played in the middle third of the field, until the final minute, when Rodriguez looked to have a quality scoring chance from less than 20 feet out, only to send the shot just high.  With 20 seconds left, Frostburg mounted a final attack, penetrating deep into SVC territory, and the Bobcats' Danny Hutchins got off what looked to be a quality shot, but it rolled just wide of the net as time expired, and the game ended in the 1-1 tie.

Gilbertson finished the day with eight saves for the Beracats (3-5-1), while Abiye made seven stops for the Bobcats (4-3-1).  Saint Vincent ended with a 19-15 advantage in shots.

The Bearcats will now return to action on Wednesday afternoon, hosting nationally-ranked Carnegie Mellon beginning at 4pm on the SVC Turf.
