The Bearcats were defeated 4-1 by visiting Allegheny College on the Saint Vincent Turf.

For the game, SVC was out-shot 26-10, including a 16-2 margin in the first half, during which the visiting Gators scored three goals, two by Tom Ludwig and one by DJ Egan.

Allegheny increased the lead to 4-0, with Ludwig's third goal of the afternoon 14 minutes into the second half.

Saint Vincent's offense then began to show signs of life, receiving a number of scoring chances over the final 30 minutes of play, out-shooting Allegheny 7-5 over the span.  The Bearcats were only able to tally one goal, however, on a rebound put-back by Anthony Balistreri with 13 minutes left to play.

Gabe Cooper and Jacob Gilbertson shared the duty in goal for SVC, each playing 45 minutes, with Cooper finishing with four saves and Gilbertson two.  Andrew Shirley played all 90 minutes in net for the Gators, earning the win with three saves.

With the loss, SVC's record falls to 3-4.  The Bearcats return to action on Friday evening, traveling to Kenyon College for a 5:15 matchup.
