The Bearcats defeated their third consecutive Presidents' Athletic Conference foe, downing visiting Thiel College by a score of 4-1.

Four different players accounted for SVC's four goals, as the Bearcats out-shot the visiting Tomcats 27-5 for the game.

The Bearcats got on the board early, with Anthony Balistreri extending his scoring streak to three straight games after blasting home a long rebound in the game's 14th minute.

Saint Vincent continued to mount attack after attack on offense, posting 12 shots over the first 45 minutes, but they were unable to add an insurance goal until six minutes were left until halftime.  Another long rebound found its way to the foot of Luis Rodriguez from 15 feet out, and the senior sent it into the net for his seventh goal in the past three games, and 11th on the season, making the score 2-0.

Thirteen minutes after halftime, the Bearcats added onto their lead, when a Ben Fecik corner kick was headed into the net by Nick Pollino, giving the Bearcats the 3-0 advantage.

Thiel was able to break the shutout with just under 24 minutes remaining, on a penalty kick by Chad Swisher, but SVC returned the favor, as Fecik converted on another penalty kick with two minutes remaining, closing out the scoring and sealing the 4-1 win for the Bearcats.

The Bearcats owned play throughout, as the strong offensive performance was complimented by a solid defensive showing, as the back line of Drake Pastor, Matt Fecik, and Dean Jordan continually thwarted any Thiel attacks, while also setting up a number of SVC counter attacks.

Jake Gilbertson played all 90 minutes in goal for SVC, posting a pair of saves for the victory, with the only blemish the Swisher penalty kick.

With the win, their third straight, the Bearcats improve to 6-8-1 on the season.  The team will return to action on Monday night, traveling to another PAC foe, Westminster College, for a 6pm contest.
