The Bearcats suffered a heartbreaking defeat at Juniata College, falling 2-1 in double overtime.

SVC managed to take an early lead, with Ben Fecik scoring late in the first half - his third goal in the last two games - to put the Bearcats up 1-0.  Freshman Gage Arnold recorded his first collegiate point, assisting on the goal.

The Bearcats looked poised to leave Juniata with their first shutout win of the season, but the Golden Eagles managed to tie it up with just 24 seconds remaining in the second half, taking advantage of a failed SVC clearing attempt, to send the game into overtime.

The first extra session was scoreless, as were the first five minutes of the second overtime, until the Golden Eagles managed to score off a deflection from five yards out for the dramatic, come-from-behind win.

"It was just a good game all around," said Bearcat head coach Keith Harmon.  "I have no complaints.   Everybody played well, everybody gave it all they had.  We just have to find a way to win these one-goal games."

For the game, the Bearcats out-shot the Eagles 15-13, and owned a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.  SVC goalie Gabe Cooper finished the day with five saves.

The Bearcats (1-3) will look to return to winning ways on Sunday, traveling five miles down Route 30 to face Pitt-Greensburg as part of the Bethany College tournament beginning at 4pm.
