The Bearcats lost their home opener to Grove City College, then lost on the road to Mount Union College.

In the Grove City meet, Joe Bruzda set a new school record while winning the 200 backstroke, and also eclipsed a school record by 10 seconds with a second place finish in the 400 IM.

Jon Okonak had a pair of second place finishes, in the 50 and 100 Free, while Dan Brett was second in the 500 Free. As a team, SVC lost 123-100.

Against Mount Union, Troy Linebaugh won the 50 Freestyle in 24:03, while Bruzda won the 200 Backstroke in 2:10.58.

Second place finishes went to Dan Brett (1000 Freestyle), Zack Krejdovsky (200 & 500 Free), Bruzda (100 Backstroke), Eric Clouse (200 Butterfly) and Okonak in the 100 Free.
