The Bearcats had a successful day in the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Invitational, setting two school records.

Alex Krupey lowered his school standard in the 400 meters to 51.69, finishing sixth overall.  It was the third time this season he has lowered the mark.

The other record was set by the 1600 meter relay team of Craig Anderton, Krupey, Wayne Hooper and Shane Anderton, timed in 3:23.49.  The team finished second overall, losing only to Division II powerhouse California U of PA, and posted an ECAC qualifying time in the process.

Scott Steele finished third in the 110 meter high hurdles, timed in 15.66.  Steele also had a season's best 24.54 in the 200 meters.

In the 800, Wayne Hooper finished third overall (1:56.33) and Craig Anderton was fourth (1:57.41).  Other Bearcats in the event were Shane Anderton (7th, 1:58.27), Adam Tucek (20th, 2:05.56), Mike Stevens (23rd, 2:06.89), Nick Stelitano (24th, 2:06.97), Jim Vargo (26th, 2:07.86) and Brian Robson (32nd, 2:22.14). 

Vargo was 8th in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:14.57, his season's best.  Tucek was 15th in a season-best time of 4:23.38.  Other Bearcat runners were Stelitano (16th, 4:26.17), Stevens (17th, 4:31.14) and Robson (21st, 4:46.84.

In the 5000, Matt Hagg posted a season-best time of 16:14.16, finishing 5th, just ahead of Jim Walsh (16:40.91).  Ed Moss was 9th in 17.18.22, his best of the year, while Mike Hannon was 11th, timed in 17:52.88.
