Four members of the Saint Vincent Bearcat men's track team have been invited to compete in the 2009 version of the prestigious Penn Relays, held April 25 at the University of Pennsylvania.

The 4x800 meter relay team of Craig Anderton, Shane Anderton, Kevin Wanichko and Adam Tucek will comprise the SVC team at the meet, which features some of the top runners in the nation.

"This is probably the most prestigious collegiate track meet held east of the Mississippi," said SVC Coach Andy Herr.  "We entered them at the beginning of the season, and they were one of 50 teams that received an invitation, and most of those are Division I teams.  Very few Division III teams will be there."

This is the first time in school history that any runners have been invited to the Penn Relays.
