The Bearcats participated in the Presidents' Athletic Conference North Quadrangular meet, hosted by Grove City College. Saint Vincent swept the 1,500 meter run, led by first place finisher Matt Hagg, who recorded a time of 16:27.04. SVC's Jim Walsh took second (16:27.54), Bill Fischer third (17:05.64), Ed Moss fourth (17:26.43), and Mike Hannon fifth (17:27.35). The Bearcats also took the top four spots in the 800 meter. Alex Krupey finished first in 2:03.49, Adam Tucek second in 2:05.29, Mike Stevens third in 2:05.93, and Jim Vargo fourth in 2:07.39. Scott Steel took second in the 110 meter hurdles, finishing in 15:61 seconds, just one-tenth of a second behind the leader. The Bearcat 4x400 meter relay squad of Steel, Stelitano, Krupey, and Tucek finished in third with a time of 3:39.37. SVC returns to action this weekend, participating in the prestigious Bucknell University Bison Open.
