New SGA Residence Hall Representatives and Freshman Class Officers Announced

Twelve Saint Vincent College students have been elected to the Student Government Association.
Charmaine Jemison, a senior liberal arts major from Pittsburgh (15201), will represent Aurelius Hall. Megan Achezinski, a sophomore elementary instruction major from Bulter; Tanner Beal, a sophomore political science major from Hagerstown, Maryland; and Ashley Nowicki, a senior biology major from McMurray will represent Bonaventure Hall. Shelby Hebenthal, a biology major from Latrobe, will provide representation for the commuting students. Aaron Kushner, a junior marketing major from New Castle; Sean Murphy, a senior chemistry major from Marlton, New Jersey; and Steve Sherman, a sophomore political science major from Allison Park will represent Gerard Hall. Alex Deconciliis, a senior management major from Bethel Park and Maggie Scherer, a senior elementary instruction major from Pittsburgh (15241), will represent the residents of Rooney Hall. Saint Benedict Hall will be represented by Josiah Hartzler, a freshman public policies major from Mount Pleasant. Tom Mengers, a sophomore theology major from Claymont, Delaware, will represent Wimmer Hall.
The Student Government Association held elections for freshman class officers on Wednesday, September 7. Justin Teets, a freshman political science major from Vanderbilt, will serve as class president. Luke Daghir, a freshman elementary instruction major from St. Marys, will serve as class vice president. Katie Kohler, a freshman communication major from Derwood, Maryland, will serve as the freshman class secretary. The class treasurer position will be held by Dante Gentile, a freshman from Pittsburgh who is undecided on a major. The senators include Jake Murtaugh, a freshman history major Holmdel, New Jersey; Samantha Richardson, a freshman anthropology major from Irwin; Brody Ruffner, a freshman physician assistant major from Newton, North Carolina; and Keerian Vandijk, a freshman psychology major from Pittsburgh.
