Kelsey Harris, second from left, a prefect in St. Benedict Hall, and the freshman residents recently organized a program called Saint Vincent College Thanks Veterans in which they made large thank you cards for veterans in area nursing homes and asked other students to sign them before being delivered on Veterans’ Day to the Loyalhanna Care Center, Emeritus at Latrobe, Latrobe Care Center and Greensburg Care Center. Dawn March, left, a junior marketing major from Delmont, was among the first signers. Freshman volunteers seeking signatures at a table in the Robert S. Carey Student Center included, from left, Aliethia McLeod, a freshman pharmacy major from Jamaica; Sabrina Loughran, a freshman biology major from Carrolltown; Alexa Claypool, a freshman biology major from Saltsburg; Jessica Petrovich, a freshman elementary education major from Pittsburgh; and Ivy Schoonover, a freshman art education major from Waynesboro.
