Chinese University Delegation Visits SVC

A delegation of six administrators from Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU), a provincial university of Shandong Province of China with campuses in Qingdao and Laiyang, met with Saint Vincent College administrators and faculty on November 9 to discuss the implementation of the cooperative agreement signed with Saint Vincent College for study abroad by QAU students at SVC, faculty exchanges across all disciplines, and other academic initiatives. QAU has 21 colleges and one physical education department, offering 53 undergraduate programs and 31 masters degree programs. Br. Norman W. Hipps, O.S.B., standing left, president of SVC, and Dr. Gary M. Quinlivan, standing right, dean of the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics, and Government, welcomed the delegation seated from left, Professor Anbo Liang, director of the international office; Professor Tongyi Yang, assistant president and provost of QAU; and Ms. Shuiping Jiang, director of international programs of the international office; standing, from left, Professor Shuchao Li, dean of the College of Economics and Management; Professor Xiaochun Zhao, dean of the College of Communication and Fine Arts; and Professor Hu Shan, dean of the College of Animal Science and Veterinary. While on campus, the delegation had an opportunity to meet with four current Chinese students and two Chinese professors.
