WPNR Announces Christmas Open House December 3

Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve at Saint Vincent College is hosting a Christmas open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3.

The day will include children’s story time at 11 a.m. with a visit from Santa Claus (registration required), pony wagon rides and unique gifts by local artisans. There will also be various vendors and items available including Acorn Bird Products, Empty Nest Pottery, Second Chance Images, tile coasters, knitted items, pet treats, natural medicines, coffee, baked goods and more. There is no admission fee and all ages are welcome.

In addition, visitors may walk the trails and visit the Lochry Blockhouse. The nature trails throughout the Reserve are open year-round, seven days a week, from dusk until dawn.

Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve also offers one-hour program/tours for groups during hours of operation. A donation is requested. The Reserve is located adjacent to Saint Vincent College at 744 Walzer Way just off Pennsylvania Route 981.
