Fr. Rene Kollar's Book Published in England

A book by Fr. Rene Kollar, O.S.B., professor of history and dean of the Saint Vincent College School of Humanities and Fine Arts, A Foreign and Wicked Institution? The Campaign Against Convents in Victorian England, which was published in the United States in spring 2011, was recently published in England by James Clarke and Co. Ltd. of Cambridge.

This book is an examination of the development of Catholic and Anglican female religious orders in 19th century Britain and the religious and cultural prejudices that they had to overcome.

The publisher’s website currently lists the publication on its Best Seller list.
