Sara Maurer Named to Who's Who List at SVC

Sara V. Maurer, junior psychology major of Pittsburgh (15241), has been named to the 2011 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and was recognized as an outstanding campus leader during the annual Saint Vincent College Founders’ Day Vespers and Honors Convocation Thursday, November 17 in the Archabbey Basilica.
Ms. Maurer, daughter of Jack and Brigid Maurer, serves as vice president of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and treasurer of Respect Life Club. Ms. Maurer is currently studying abroad at Saint Mary’s University College in Twickenham, England. She is a member of the Psychology Club, Saint Vincent College Singers, and the Company. She is a member of Saint Louise De Marillac R.C. Church in Upper Saint Clair. She is a 2009 graduate of Upper Saint Clair High School.
The Who’s Who students are selected by campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory on the basis of their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. They join an elite group of students selected from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
