Alyssa Taylor Named PAC Women's Swimmer of the Week

Saint Vincent College sophomore Alyssa Taylor became the first swimmer in program history to earn Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week honors, announced the league office.

Ms. Taylor, a native of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Greater Latrobe High School, set five combined school records to help lead the Bearcats to a second-place finish at the Blue Devil Invitational hosted by the State University of New York, Fredonia.

The sophomore won the 500 free with a time of 5:29.23, the 200 fly in 2:10.88 and the 100 fly in 58.79, all of which set new school records. Ms. Taylor was also a member of the 800 free relay team which set a school record of 8:06.34 and the 400 medley relay that posted a school-record time of 4:06.39.
