James Withers, M.D., center, internist and teaching physician at UPMC-Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, was the featured speaker at the annual Bioethics Forum sponsored by the Biology Department of the Saint Vincent College School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Computing. Dr. Withers started Operation Safety Net nearly 20 years ago to provide a team of medical professionals who provide care to homeless people in the city of Pittsburgh. More than 50 students and faculty attended the Forum.
