The Saint Vincent College Service Corps for Exceptional Children is sponsoring a children’s book drive to benefit the local NHS Autism School. New or gently-used children’s books may be donated through April 4 at the Saint Vincent Basilica parish office, Education department (ground floor, Prep Hall or Carey Center annex) or office of student affairs. Fr. Philip Kanfush, O.S.B., right, assistant professor of education, meets with the project committee members, from left, Michael Rhea, a junior mathematics major from Blairsville; Alicia Ramsier, a senior elementary instruction major from Belle Vernon; Stephanie Kline, a senior elementary instruction major from Derry; and Caitlin Ross, graduate student in special education and graduate assistant in the graduate and continuing education office.
