Br. Nathan Cochran, O.S.B., chair of the Saint Vincent College Department of Visual Arts in the School of Humanities and Fine Arts, organized a Latin Mass in the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite, presented by Fr. C. Frank Philips, S.J.C., rector of Saint John Cantius Church, Chicago, Illinois, which was followed by a lecture given by H.I.R.H. Archduke Rudolph of Austria, entitled “One Family of Yesteryear, Families of All Time: Testimony of Emperor Karl and Empress Zita, models for our times.”

The event was sponsored by the Emperor Karl League of Prayers and Saint John Cantius Church.

“Archduke Rudolf, the eldest grandchild of Emperor Karl, whose cause for canonization is being promoted, and Empress Zita, whose cause for beatification is being promoted, spoke of their lives and spirituality,” Br. Nathan reported. “He addressed the questions, Is it possible for married couples to help each other become saints? and Is it possible for politicians and heads-of-state to live lives of holiness?

This was part of Br. Nathan’s ongoing work as the United States and Canadian delegate of the Emperor Karl League of Prayers which promotes the canonization of the Emperor.
