Saint Vincent College students will host a special event, Sports Friendship Day, Sunday, April 1 for persons who are disabled.
Sports Friendship Day, sponsored by Saint Vincent College Campus Ministry, is designed for children as young as seven years of age to adults who are disabled. The special day features light sports activities, entertainment, a talent show, dinner and Mass. Saint Vincent College students assist each participant throughout the afternoon.
This is the 28th consecutive year that Saint Vincent has hosted this special event. Parents and guardians of participants are welcome to attend and enjoy the campus.
SVC Junior Neal Nanassy noted on behalf of the SFD student planning board, "We at Saint Vincent College are extremely proud to celebrate a very important event that has become a yearly tradition here: The 28th annual Sports Friendship Day. This year's Sports Friendship Day will take place on April 1 and will bring together student volunteers and members from the community for an exciting day filled with fun activities. This event never fails to showcase Saint Vincent College's hospitality and willingness to be involved in our community, and we are anxiously looking forward to another successful event this year."
