Dr. Jeffrey L. Godwin, associate professor of management in Saint Vincent College’s Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics, and Government, reports that he had two teams finish on the Global 100 list of the widely used Business Strategy Game (BSG) Simulation.

At the height of the game this semester, 5,826 teams from 336 colleges and universities participated.

In the BSG simulation, students manage a virtual footwear company. The simulation includes a series of decisions in the areas of production, distribution, marketing, human resource management, corporate citizenship and finance. The teams play ten decision rounds. Each set of decisions constitutes a year in the life of the virtual organizations.

The two Saint Vincent teams this semester included Divergent Footwear comprised of Curt Colaianne, Andrew Harvey and David Kirchner, and Golden Lace comprised of Kaleb Cypher, Ryan Riazzi and Aaron Smetanka.
