Lauren M. Churilla, center, curator of Saint Vincent College’s Foster and Muriel McCarl Coverlet Gallery, recently accepted a $5,000 Westmoreland County Tourism Marketing Grant from Westmoreland County Commissioners Charles Anderson, left, and Tyler Courtney, right, that will be used to increase awareness of the gallery through print advertisements and mailings. The Coverlet Gallery’s mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and disseminate the history of weaving and folk traditions in the northeastern region of the United States through ongoing exhibits and interpretive projects. It is open to the public throughout the year in the Fred M. Rogers Center on the campus of Saint Vincent College, Latrobe.
