'Pennsylvania Sales and Use Tax' Seminar to be Held May 9

Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center will host Pennsylvania Sales and Use Tax seminar on Thursday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Pennsylvania Sales and Use Tax is imposed on the retail sale, consumption, rental or use of tangible personal property. It is also imposed on certain services relating to such property and on the charge for specific services. This seminar will explain the sales and use tax, rates and nexus. Also discussed will be exemptions and exclusions that might be applicable to a business.

The fee to attend is $40/$35 each for two or more. Coffee/tea set up and light refreshments are included as well as an optional one-year subscription (12 issues) to Inc. magazine, valued at $10.

The seminar will be presented by Rebecca J. Rock, CPA, Internal Revenue Service.
