The Foster and Muriel McCarl Coverlet Gallery at Saint Vincent College will present an Emerging Artists Exhibit on Wednesday, May 15.

The exhibit will be a one-night event celebrating the creative achievements of young artistic talent from the area. High school students in grades 9 to 12 were invited to submit their best pieces of 2D or 3D art to be put on display.

The Emerging Artists Exhibit is hosted by the McCarl Coverlet Gallery, a state of the art gallery and nonprofit cultural organization of 19th-century weaving and folk history. The exhibit is also sponsored by Stardust Photography, a natural light portrait business operated by SVC student Pamela Curtin that specializes in high school seniors.

“Both the McCarl Gallery and Stardust Photography recognize that the fine arts are immensely valuable for student education and personal expression, and this exhibit was created to let their talents shine,” noted Lauren M. Churilla, curator of the McCarl Coverlet Gallery. “We are all so excited to see great talent emerge. If you love the arts, come enjoy an artistic evening with us at the McCarl Coverlet Gallery on May 15. Mark your calendar and show support to young artists in our community at the Emerging Artists Exhibit!”
