Nature Photography Workshop at Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve June 1

Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve at Saint Vincent College will host a Nature Photography Workshop for Beginners on Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The workshop will focus on landscape photography and will be taught by Richard Stoner, a Saint Vincent College instructor. Stoner will provide basic photography concepts including camera set-up, focus, file format and exposure.

The workshop will have both indoor and outdoor instruction and participants will receive demonstrations on how to create more interesting photographs of both general landscapes and the macro world of flowers and plants. Participants will learn how to emphasize photo composition and use natural light to brighten their photographs.

Cost is $20.00 per person. Registration is required by May 24. A digital or film camera is required.

Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve Learning Center Barn will also be open to the public Saturday, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open year-round Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m with the trails open daily from dawn to dusk. The barn is closed Sundays and Mondays.
