Pittsburgh Steelers to Open 48th Annual Summer Training Camp at SVC July 27

The Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League will return to Saint Vincent College for their 48th annual summer training camp on Friday, July 26, according to an announcement on the Steelers website, www.steelers.com.

Afternoon practices will be open to the public at 3 p.m. on campus on 14 days including five weekend days. Tentative schedule includes Saturday, July 27, Sunday, July 28, Monday, July 29, Wednesday, July 31, Thursday, August 1, Saturday, August 3, Sunday, August 4, Monday, August 5, Wednesday, August 7, Thursday, August 8, Monday, August 12, Thursday, August 15, Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17.

An evening practice is also scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 at Latrobe Memorial Stadium. A special evening practice at Saint Vincent is also scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Practices are held on the grass playing fields at Saint Vincent. Visitors are welcome to bring chairs or blankets for viewing from any location outside the security fence. Seating is also available in Chuck Noll Field. Picnic baskets and coolers are welcome but barbeque grills, alcohol, video cameras, and dogs and other animals are not permitted on campus. The College will offer snacks, sandwiches and drinks at several locations around campus and the Bookstore will again offer a variety of Steelers logo merchandise.

There is no charge for parking or admission at Saint Vincent.

The practice schedule is subject to change due to adverse weather conditions or decisions by the coaching staff. Further details are available on the Pittsburgh Steelers website, www.steelers.com.
