New SGA Residence Hall Representatives and Freshman Class Officers Announced

Twenty-one Saint Vincent College students have been elected to the Student Government Association.

Katie Kohler, a junior communication major from Derwood, Maryland; Mary Brady, a junior chemistry major from Arona; and Vince Lamanna, a junior finance major from Pittsburgh (15223) will represent Bonaventure Hall. Jessica Kissel, a sophomore English major from Latrobe and Meghan Obusek, a freshman physical therapy major from Mount Pleasant, will represent Gerard Hall. Carolyn Claybrooks, a senior psychology major from Woodbridge, Virginia, will represent Rooney Hall. Saint Benedict Hall will be represented by Matt DeMaio, a freshman international business major from North Huntingdon; Laken Lyon, a freshman art education major from Zanesville, Ohio; and Peter Santiago, an undecided major from Elizabeth, New Jersey. Jake Ferguson, a sophomore biochemistry major from Butler and Victoria Sarver, a sophomore accounting major from Bethel Park will represent Wimmer Hall. Jay Yusko, a senior economics and mathematics major from New Florence will represent Aurelius Hall.

The Student Government Association held elections for freshman class officers on Wednesday, September 4. Josh Vasko, a biology major from North Huntingdon, will serve as class president. Melissa Anderson, a biochemistry major from New Kensington, will serve as class vice president. Tori Sawhney, an accounting major from Butler, will serve as the freshman class treasurer. The class secretary position will be held by Sarah Selip, a communication major from Latrobe. The senators include Shane Brudnok, a criminology, law and society major from Latrobe; Alec Cicchini, a biochemistry major from Belle Vernon; Peter Reiter, an accounting major from Hagerstown, Maryland; Rebecca Rosgony, a biology major from Jefferson Hills; and Marissa Wright, a psychology major from Uniontown.
