The Schola Cantorum of Holy Family Parish, Latrobe, a choir of young women directed by Fr. Stephen Concordia, O.S.B., assistant professor of fine arts at Saint Vincent College, has released a CD entitled Songs For The Eucharist, Ancient and New.

The CD is produced and distributed by Jade Music/Milan Records and contains 18 tracks including Gregorian Chant, Renaissance polyphony and more modern works with organ.

The seven member schola includes Saint Vincent College student Mary Vanden Berk of Latrobe and Saint Vincent College alumna Grettelyn Nypaver, C’2010, who is also the featured soloist on the CD. The other members of the schola performing on the CD are Erin Nypaver, Philomena Parrish, Theresa Vanden Berk, Maria Sunseri, Suzy Briggs and Veronica McQuaide.
Tyler Randolph is organist.

Since February, the Schola Cantorum sings at the Latin Mass at Holy Family Parish.

The CD was officially released on September 24 and is available on iTunes and other online stores. For a limited time the CD is also available for a donation of $10 to Holy Family Parish to support the initiatives of the Schola.
