SBDC Offers Program on Health Care Reform Oct. 18

Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center will host Ready or Not, Healthcare Reform is Here! on Friday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon, at Saint Vincent College with registration opening at 8:30 a.m.

The Affordable Care Act is changing the face of health care in the United States. With many of the law’s biggest changes set to take effect in the next few months, this seminar provides an opportunity to learn what’s changing and how the changes will impact individual businesses and their employees.

Topics to be covered include new health exchanges launching Oct. 1, biggest changes going into effect Jan. 1, factors affecting the cost of health insurance, how to find affordable coverage, potential penalties for businesses and individuals and expanded small business tax credits.

Presenter Chad Mikolajcik is a licensed insurance consultant at Insurance Services LLC. Mikolajcik helps individuals and business owners make smart insurance decisions in an ever-changing health care landscape.

The fee to attend this seminar is $20.
